JOURNALISTIC DECAY: The days

2025-05-18
JOURNALISTIC DECAY: The days of credible, unbiased journalism seem to be over. It was disappointing to see how major news channels unabashedly tried to bolster the image of India by sowing consistent hostility towards Pakistan.

Ironically, the channels continued to spread lies through fake news. Our leadership, foreign policy and military statements proved that we were not interested in escalating the hostilities, but certain news channels continued to portray Pakistan as being just as antagonistic as India. This was contrary to facts.

S.R. Murtaza Karachi REDISCOVERED PATRIOTISM: I never knew I loved my country so much until it was threatened during the recent attack by India. As the conflict unfolded, I saw ordinary people turning into patriots donating blood, volunteering and praying together. The sight of soldiers leaving home with courage moved me beyond words. I realised that the soil of Pakistan, its freedom and spirit meant more to me than anything I had ever valued. It was no longer just about borders; it was about identity, sacrifice and love. In a crisis situation, I discovered my true bond with the nation. Let us all alwaus remember that.

Tooba Shahab Karachi TOP GUNS: The recent skirmishes with the Indian Air Force (IAF) have established the fact that the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) happens to be the undisputed king of the skies in the region.

With their professionalism, responsible behaviour, absolute precision and tactical superiority, our pilots have established themselves as the regional top guns.

Arsalan Farugi Karachi A POSSIBLE PLAN: The use of Israel-made drones by India makes one wonder if Israel was using India to escalate the conflict in order to shift global focus from the continuous violence in Gaza.

As things continue to unfold, the doubt may have an obvious element of truth.
