LAHORE: A seminar on film was organised by the Department of Graphic Design at the Punjab University`s College of Art and Design where the team of Kamli was invited to give an insight into the film and discuss the contemporary cinema challenges.

Israr Chishti, Department of Graphic Design chairman, introduced the team to the participants and said the art students must watch film as `it is the medium of art intellectuals and introduces new ways of thinking`.

Director Sarmad Khoosat said the film was a combination of all arts but it`s the story that grabbed people.

Films could be successful only with a star cast, he said.

Prof Dr Ahmad Bilal, director Postgraduate Research Centre of Creative Arts, said Kamli was an open-ended film that left the audience with a lot of questions and that`s what a film or an artwork should do. `It should not provide us with answers but to provoke us to think... and to engage us with new questions,` he said.
