SUKKUR: Unknown armed assailants shot dead a man after storming his house in Baran Khan Bajkani village within the limits of Tangwani police station in Kanhdkot on Tuesday.

The victim identified as Sakhi Muhammad Bakhrani died on the spot and the attackers fled.

Police reached the crime scene after two hours and followed footprints of the killers along with the villagers. The footprints led to the house of Chakar Dahani in Ghulam Muhammad Dahani village.

The villagers caught the three suspects, including Nazeer Ahmed Dahani, and handed them over to police who locked them up at the area’s police station.

Meanwhile, the victim’s body was shifted to civil hospital and was handed back to heirs after completion of medico-legal formalities.

Police said they had lodged a murder case on the complaint of victim’s brother, Samano Bakhrani, against six persons, including Chakar, Nazeer and Abdul Kareem Dahani.
