Major reshuffle in bureaucracy

LAHORE: The Punjab government on Tuesday issued transfer and posting orders ofseveralsenior bureaucrats across key departments in a major administrative reshuffle.
The orders, approved by Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman, aims to improve governance efficiency and fill critical vacancies.
Among the notable changes, retired Capt Asadullah Khan has been appointed as secretary of the Public Prosecution De partment, replacing Ahmad Aziz Tarar, who has been transferred to the Livestock & Dairy D e y e 1 o p m e n t Department.
Saqib Ali Ateel, previously serving as secretary of Livestock & Dairy Development, has been posted as Member of the Chief Minister`s Inspection Team.
Saman Rai, Director General of Population Welfare, has been transferred as commissioner of the Punjab OverseasPakistanis Commission, while Waqar Azim, managing director of the Punjab Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA), has been moved to the Housing Urban Development & Public Health Engineering Department as special secretary.
Sahibzadi Wasima Umer will take over as the new managing director of PPRA.
Other key appointments include Mansoor Ahmad as director general of the Parks & Horticulture Authority, Ahmer Nike as director general of the Punjab Overseas Pakistanis Commission, and Hena Arshad as Additional Secretary of the Health and Population Department.
Ansar Hayat, previously awaiting posting, has been appointed additional secretary at the Chief Minister`s Office.
Health and Population Department Additional Secretary Khalid Parvaiz has been posted as the director general of the Directorate General of Population Welfare.
