PTCL in Balochistan

2016-07-18
ONE can well imagine the worl(ing environment at far-flung gas fields such as Sui in Balochistan. The only means of communication with family is a primarily PTCL land line or V-phone.

In this modern era, owing to certain valid reasons, mobile phone service is restricted to only one cellular service provider and that too with a very low range. Thus we, the employees and residents of Sui are on the mercy of PTCL.

My residential telephone number 0835-420866 has been deadforthelast three weeks. I have made many complaints both personally and through automatic mode, sent e-mails to business managers concerned, used PTCL e-chat and finally tried to use my own sources to get the fault rectified, but all in vain.

If I request 1217 to give me contact numbers of PTCL high-ups, I am given numbers of call centres like 021-111-282-828 and 0835-410000, etc., where I have again to narrate my problem with a reply that my complaint is under process.

ShouldIrequestthePTCLtotake the facility back or is there any officer who is able to rectify the fault? Khawar Fateh Irem Sul, Balochistan
