HYDER ABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-F) has fully supported the recent announcement by the Pakistan Rangers, Sindh, that they are extending their operation against criminals to the interior of the province. It also called for extending the paramilitary force`s stay in Sindh.

PML-F Sindh vice president Pirzada Yasir Shah, speaking at a press conference at his residence on Sunday observed that chaos-like situation prevailed across the country apparently due to a conflict between state institutions. `In spite of the prime minister`s return home and taking over the routine affairs, the federal government`s performance has not improved,` he said, adding that the general impression in thecountry is that there are dif ferences between the federal government and the establishment.

Mr Shah claimed that the Sindh government had failed to deliver, and expressed his party`s full support to the decision announced recently by the Rangers Director General, Major General Bilal Akbar, about extending the ongoing Karachi operation against criminals to the rest of Sindh. `Rangers stay in Sindh should be extended without delay to facilitate the extended operation and a conflict between institutions must be avoided,` he said.

The PML-F leader also supported Rangers` stance on their action against suspects following a raid on the house of Asad Kharal.

According to media reports, Kharal is a close associate of home minister Suhail Anwar Siyal`s brother, Tariq Siyal. He(Kharal) was detained by law-enforces during the raid on July 13 but a large number of people allegedly led by Tariq Siyal got him released. His whereabouts are not known since then.

Mr Shah said the Sindh government should not interfere in Rangers` affairs, rather it should bring criminals to justice.

He also expressed his party`s concern over the delay being caused in the recovery of Barrister Awais Shah, the son of Sindh High Court Chief Justice Sajjal Shah, and also in the arrest of Amjad Sabri`s killers.

`Judges feel insecure and, as such, they must be given full protection,` he said.

He stressed the need for a fair investigation into the kidnapping of Barrister Shah `amid reported claims of the involvement of Tariq Siyal in the episode`
