Chief minister finds facilities at RIC satisfactory

RAWALPINDI: Punjab Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi lauded doctors and paramedics for their dedication and quality of treatment facilities at the Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology (RIC).

He paid a visit to the hospital late Sunday night and inspected its various departments.

During the visit, he interacted with patients and their attendants to get information regarding available medical services with a particular focus on angiography, angioplasty and overall cleanliness standards.

According to a press release, the patients and their attendants expressed their contentment with the provided amenities and lauded the doctors and paramedics for their services. The chief minister also showed interest in knowing whether medicines were available in the hospital or not.

Recognising the significance of accessible healthcare, Mr Naqvi directed the opening of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to the public and expressed his satisfaction with the high quality of healthcare services offered at theinstitution.

He said the hospital served as a valuable healthcare facility for heart patients and extended his appreciation for the dedication demonstrated by doctors and paramedics.

In order to ensure smooth functioning of the hospital, the chief minister instructed the health secretary to guarantee the availability of necessary funds and other essential requirements. After the visit, the caretaker chief minister took to Twitter to express his profound admiration for the exceptional standard of treatment facilities he witnessed during his visit to the Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology.

He commended the hospital management and doctors for their efforts in providing medical care to a significant number of patients. Staff Reporter
