DOG BITES: Several people, including children, were injured after stray dogs bit them in various village councils of Kana tehsil in the last two days.

The residents of Shonial, Kekor and Olandar areas told reporters on Monday that over two dozen people were bitten by stray dogs in different villages.

They said six people, including children and the elderly, were attacked by dogs in Olandar village council and they were shifted to the local basic health unit.

The residents said all those dog bite victims were taken to the district headquarters hospital Alpuri due to the unavailability of anti-rabies vaccines.

Resident Sardar Ali said stray dogs roamed across upper parts of Kana tehsil and had bitten several people in the last few days but the administration didn`t eliminate stray dogs.

He said authorities should ensure the provision of antirabies vaccine to all hospitals of the district, especially those located in rural areas, to the relief of people bitten by stray dogs.
