LAHORE: The foundation stone of 220KV Ghazi grid station was laid here on Thursday.

The stone-laying was performed by German Parliamentary State Secretary Thomas Silberhorn, German Ambassador to Pakistan Ms Ina Lepel and NTDCL`s acting Managing Director Wajahat Saeed Rana, says a press release.

Silberhorn said KfW Development Bank had a long term relationship with NTDCL and the Ghazi grid station was another milestone of mutual cooperation between the two countries.

He said German-Pak Renewable Energy Forum would be established and Pakistan would host it in December this year.

Wajahat Saeed Rana said the grid station would be completed in October 2016 at a cost of Rs2 billion.
