SANGHAR: Police on Saturday rushed to a place in the agricultural fields within the Khahi area on a tip-off to arrest a man who, along with his two associates, was burying his sister’s body after torturing and shooting her to death.

Officials at the Khahi police station of Khipro taluka said that Wali Mohammed, along with his two friends, took her sister, Shazia Marri, to a deserted place within his agricultural fields and severely tortured her before shooting her to death. They said the suspects had dug up a grave and were in the process of burying the body when police nabbed Wali Mohammed and one of his alleged accomplices.

Khahi SHO Irfan Bhatti said the body was also taken into custody and later sent to the Sanghar Civil Hospital for a post-mortem examination.

A murder FIR was registered against the suspects, he said.
