SARGODHA: Three car passengers died, and two were injured when their car collided head-on with a Bhakkar-bound bus near Adhi Kot, 60 1(ilometers from Sargodha, on Sunday.

Passengers Ali Hamza, Zain, Munib Raza, Mujaz Ahmad, and Ali Hamza were from Bhalwal, and at 4:30 am, the accident occurred.

Rescue 1122, Noorpur Thal Deputy Superintendent of Police Khalid Khan, and additional Station House Officer Haji Malik Tasadaq arrived at the spot and shifted the injured and bodies to the hospital.

ENCOUNTER: Robbery suspect Nadeem Abbas was injured in an encounter with the Jhal Chakian Police, while his accomplices fled.

OPERATION: The commissioner, as chairman of the Municipal Corporation, Ajmal Bhatti, started a operationagainst encroachment on Lari Adda Road.

The operation, which started at 5 pm on Saturday, continued till late at night. The service road of the city`s busy highway was occupied by mini-marble factories, construction material vendors, and other businessmen; some of them had rented out the service road in front of their shops.

During the operation, the goods of five shops were seized.

In the first phase, encroachments were demolished from Qainchi Mor to Chungi No 9, while in the second phase, encroachments will be removed from Chungi No 9 to Old Satellite Town Pul.

Despite such an operation conducted a weel( ago, the encroachers struck back. Now, the commissioner warned that cases will be registered against those who commit further encroachments.
