SARGODHA: A crushing plant at Pul 11 in the crushing area was sealed by the Punjab Environment Protection Department (EPD) and fined Rs100,000 for causing environmental pollution without implementing the measures recommended by the EPD.

The Crushing Union accused the EPD of unfairly targeting the plant, which was not operational at the time of inspection. They also claimed that the plant had been sealed by an action committee three hours after being reopened a month ago and had only been in operation for a week before being shut down again due to broken bearings. — Correspondent
