SUKKUR: The concluding ceremony of a two-year scheme of Mother and Child Healthcare was held in Salehpat taluka of Sukkur district on Monday.
The project was started in October 2012 jointly by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Sukkur Blood Drugs and Donating Society.
Speaking on the occasion, society president Dr Muhammad Naeem appreciated and thanked the USAID and American people whoextended healthcare facilities for mothers and children in the remote area of Salehpat where there was a shortage health facilities.
He said the residents of Salehpat and its allied areas now were aware about healthcare for the mother and child.
He also appealed to philanthropists to come forward and extend every kind of support so that services of the centre might continue smoothly in a better way.
The event was largely attended by the villagers of desert area of Salehpat, students, teachers and citizens of the area.
