KARACHI: Two suspects were shot dead in an`encounter` in PIB Colony in the early hours of Thursday morning, police said.
Acting on a tip-off, the police conducted a targeted raid on an `hideout` of `drug peddlers` in Goharabad near old Subzi Mandi where an encounter ensued in which two suspects were arrested in wounded condition.
The injured suspects died while being taken to the Jinnah hospital. The deceased were identified as Adnan, alias Lagwa, 25; and Zia Rehman, 28.
`Informer` shot dead A young `informer` was shot dead in Manghopir on Thursday, the Pirabad police said.
They added that 30-yearold Waheed Rafiq was found dead at roadside in New Mianwali Colony. The body bore four bullet marks.
Man killed, body burnt A man was shot dead and his body was set on fire in Sharafi Goth on Thursday.
