Funeral prayers of attack victims offered across KP

PESHAWAR: Thousands of people turned up at the funeral prayers of the Peshawar school attack victims in various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including the provincial capital, after bodies were shifted to their respective areas on Wednesday.

Funeral processions were taken out from almost all parts of Peshawar as the entire district remained shut to mourn the coldblooded killing of the innocent students.

KARAK: Eight victims, three female teachers among them, of the terrorist attack, were laid to rest amid moving scenes in parts of the district on Wednesday.

A female teacher, Sadia Gul, was buried in her native Mianki Banda area. Two other female teachers, Hajra Sharif, and Shazia Bibi, were laid to rest in Fateh Sher Banda and Nari Panos areas.

Four students identified as Wasif Khan, Hamid Rehman, Imran and Yasir Iqbal were laid to rest in their respective villages. Name of another victim student could not beascertained.

MARDAN: Five students and a female teacher were laid to rest in different localities here on Wednesday.

The victims were identified as teacher Ms Saima of Baricham Gujar Garhi area, Mohammad Ali (16) of Qayyum Abad Toru, Saqib Ghani (19) of Bijlighar, Zeeshan (15) of Alu Qasimi Lundkhawar, Adnan (15) of Guli Bagh and Kashif (16) of Kohibarmol.

ABBOTTABAD: Four victims of the school attack, including the nursing assistant, who was imparting first aid training to the students, were buried at their native villages.

They were identified as Azhar Naseer, Rahim, Usman (students of 9th grade) and Sepoy Nadeem.

CHARSADDA: The bodies of 12 students of the Peshawar school attack were shifted here on Wednesday.

Nine of the victims were identified as Nangyal Khan (9th grade) and brother Shamoyal Khan (8th grade), Hamza (9th grade), Shahood Alam, Hayatullah, Shahzad Ejaz, Noorullah and brother Saifullah and Aziz Ahmad.

The bodies were taken to Shabgadarand other parts of the district for burial.

The local people turned up in large numbers to participate in the funeral prayers of the students. The bodies were lowered into the graves amid moving scenes.

PARACHINAR: The funeral prayers of three students were offered in Parachinar, headquarters of the Kurram Agency.

The students were identified as Nadeem Hussain, Ibrar Hussain and Imran Ali. They were laid to rest in the Turi graveyard. The funeral prayers were attended by thousands of people.

MANSEHRA: A female student, Kholla Altaf, who had her first day at the school, also fell victim to the terrorists` bullets, while her father, a teacher of English, was seriously injured in the attack. Her body was shifted to her native village.

TANK: Sher Nawaz, a 7th grader, was laid to rest in his native Dabbara area.

BATKHELA: Four victims of the Peshawar attack also belonged to different areas of Malakand district, who were laid to rest amid moving scenes in the presence of thousands of people.The victims were identified as Adil Shahzad and Zeeshan (10th graders), Owais (7th grader) and Payed Ahmad (6th grader).

LANDI KOTAL: Three students of the Peshawar Army Public School and College were laid to rest in their native graveyards in Landi Kotal, Jamrud and Bara tehsils of Khyber Agency.

The victims were named as Ammar Shinwari, a 9th grader, Abdul Azam Afridi, 12th grader, and Mubeen Afridi.

A large number people, including political leaders, officials and civil society members, visited the houses of the aggrieved families and condoled the deaths.

LAKKI MARWAT: Amid moving scenes a victim of Peshawar massacre was laid to rest at his native Zangikhel village on Wednesday.

Akbar Zaman, a clerk in the Army Public School and College, was killed when terrorists attacked the innocent students and their teachers in the school on Tuesday.

Two students, Mohammad Ghusan and Behram, hailing from Lakki, are also among the dead of the carnage. However, their funerals were held in Peshawar.
