THE Sindh Assembly passed the ratification resolution allowing Rangers to keep their Karachi cleansing activity with conditions and limitations which beats my understanding.
The crux of powers allocated to Rangers is tantamount to a reestablishment of corruption. This conditional extension is the worst tribute paid to law enforcement agencies for what they have done in the past for about nine months.
The Rangers operating with their wings clipped in Sindh must be looked at seriously by the prime minister. I believe Rangers must be given all magisterial powers and independence to finish their job which like `Zarb-e-Azb`, is near the end.
Let us not waste time as further delay will give terrorists time to reorganise themselves and find their lost strength. We have the reputation of delaying decisions but this delay will be fatal. There are other alternatives, including governor`s rule, which can be used without damaging the sacred document called Constitution.
