Rickshaw driver gunned down

RAWALPINDI: A rickshaw driver was gunned down in the limit of Pirwadhai police station on Friday, police said.
Amir Shahzad, a resident of Zia-ul-Haq colony Pirwadhal, was returning home after dropping school children when some unidentified persons opened fire on them killing him on the spot.
Shaukat Aziz, younger brother of the deceased, told Dawn that his family had been living in Pirwadhai for the last 35 years as his brother drives an auto rickshaw to make his living.
He said he was at home when a boy informed him that his brother was lying in a pool of blood in his rickshaw. Later, his body was shifted to the Holy Family Hospital for postmortem.
Shaukat further said that his brother had no enmity with anyone.
The police have registered a case and launched investigation.
