Schools selling warm clothing warned

KARACHI: The Directorate of Inspection/ Registration of Private Institutions Sindh has warned all private school administrations making their students buy uniform articles from their own shops of dire consequences.

In a notification shared on Wednesday, Additional Director of Registration Rafia Javed has said that they have been receiving complains from a considerable number of parents of children going to a different schools that they are being forced to purchase warm clothes such as sweaters, coats, blazers and socks even from their own schools or a particular shop.

The students are also being threatened by the administrations of such schools that they will not be allowed to enter the school premises if they fail to do so.

The directorate ordered the practice to be stopped immediately as purchasing the warm items from the concerned shops is in serious violation of the instructions issued by the it from time to time.

`The violators, therefore, shall be dealt with severely with strict action initiated against the schools as per the existing rules,` the notification read.
