BAJAUR: The Bajaur Peace Action Committee on Saturday announced to hold a rally on January 26 to press the authorities for taking measures to improve the law and order situation in the district.
The decision was made during a meeting held at the Khar Press Club.
Pakistan Peoples Party former MNA Sayed Akhunzada Chattan, PTl MPA Anwarzeb Khan, JI emir Sahibzada Haroon Rasheed, JUI-F leader and Khar tehsil council chairman Haji Said Badshah, PTl leader Ishaq Za, Shah Naseer Khan of ANP, PML-N district president Malik Gul Kareem Khan and elders were in attendance.
The participants expressed their concerns about the poor law and order situation in the district. The speakers said that it was the fundamental and constitutional right of the people that their lives and properties were protected. They noted that the poor law and order was affecting the trade and business activities in the region.
The speakers vowed not to allow anyone to disrupt the `hard-earned` peace in the region.
Later, talking to reporters after the meeting, JI leader Haroon Rasheed and PPP`s Akhunzada Chattan said that the meeting decided to hold Aman Pasoon (peace rally) on January 26 in the Khar Bazaar.
