LAHORE: FG Polo and DS Polo secured opening-day victories as the 4th President of Pakistan Polo Cup (National Open Championship) got underway here at the Lahore Polo Club on Tuesday.

In a closely contested match, FG Polo defeated BN/Newage 8-7 with a standout performance from Argentinian player Raul Laplacette scoring seven goals. Despite a strong effort from Marcos Solari who scored six goals for the opposing team, FG Polo secured the victory with Mian Abbas Mukhtar scoring the crucial eighth goal.

In the second match, DS Polo controlled the game from start to finish, securing an 8-4 victory against HN Polo. Lao Abelenda starred with four goals, while Max Charlton struck twice. Raja Temur Nadeem and Daniyal Sheikh contributed one goal each to round off the commanding performance. HN Polo struggled to match the intensity, with Pelayo Berazadi scoring three goals and Hamza Mawaz Khan adding one in a losing effort.
