RAWALPINDI: Three convicts, including two brothers, held their last meetings with their family members on Wednesday ahead of their execution at Central Jail Adiala on Thursday.

All three are involved in non-terrorism cases. Asghar Ali and his brother Ghulam Hussain were convicted in the murder of two of their relatives in 1996 in Jatli area of Gujar Khan.

The third convict, Gulistan Khan of Kallar Syedan, was found guilty of murder he committed in 1998 in Kallar Syedan.

Meanwhile, four convicts were executed in the jail on Wednesday.

Two convicts – Mohammad Shabir and Shaukat Ali - were hanged early Wednesday while Rab Nawaz and Talib Hussain were executed at 9:30pm.

Earlier, the four convicts were to be hanged in the morning but the execution of two was delayed by the jail authorities.
