LAHORE: The Rangers claim to have gunned down two suspected militants and arrested their accomplice in Dera Ghazi Khan on Saturday.
According to a press release, the law-enforcement agencies had set up pickets as part of intelligence-based search operation in the city and a team signalled three men riding a motorcycle, but they sped away. The Rangers chased the suspects who opened fire on them which was retaliated. Two suspects died on the spot while the third escaped.
The Rangers cordoned off the area and launched a search operation in the city, arresting the suspect who was hiding in a nearby house. They also recovered weapons and ammunition from him.
In a press release issued by the ISPR, during the ongoing Raddul Fassad operation against militants, the law-enforcement agencies conducted six intelligence-based operations in various areas of the country and arrested 35 suspects.
