SUKKUR: Civil Judge Faheem Panhwar, who was appointed the raid commissioner by the Sukkur district and sessions court, carried out a raid on the C-Section police station in the old Sukkur area on Tuesday and ordered release of a man, Sikandar Ali Soomro, lodged in the lock-up unlawfully.

The court had ordered the raid on an application filed by his wife, Rabia Soomro, stating that her husband had been kept in illegal confinement.—Correspondent
