FOR the last couple of years I have been readingreports aboutthe sad deathof animals in Marghzar Zoo. The zoo used to have Nilgai or the common peafowl, golden pheasants, mallard duck, black buck, greywolf, urial and other animals. On April 15, I went to the zoo and learnt that a newborn baby foal was not doing well and having difficultyinwalking.
Af ter some nudging by a zebra couple, the foal moved but sat dawn again.
However, a news report in Dawn (April 16) claimed that the foal was perfectly healthy.
Since I saw the foal myself, I request the Capital Development Authority and zoo administration to double check and try to take proper care of the animals.
