Learning from kids

2025-04-19
HAVE we ever wondered what makes children enjoy happy occasions way more than us adults? Itisbecause theyhave hearts ofgold, foreign to personalegos, ill-will and grudges. The vices like hypocrisy and artifice are Greek to them.

They do not love each other on terms and conditions.

They welcome one another with genuine smiles, showing no dichotomy between their words and deeds. Their beaming faces radiate sheer joy, revealing purity of their hearts.

We, the grown-ups, can also find blissful moments like those savoured by children, provided we set aside our egos, erase our excessive love for material things, and sink our so-called differences. We need to learn from our children.

Children are rightly perceived as innocent, angelic and honestbeings.

They are artless as they are yet to learn how to regulate emotions the way most adults do.Letuslearn a valuable lesson from them, and adopt some of their wonderful qualities to make the most of our happy moments with our immediate family, relatives and friends.

Let us be true to ourselves. Let us work diligently, conscientiously and honestly to bring the change we have been waiting for a long time to happen in our personaland collective lives to transform our society into a happy one.
