ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday directed the capital police to submit a report on a missing software engineer within three days.
Justice Noorul Haq N. Qureshi issued the direction on a petition filed by the father of the missing man.
In his petition, Mohammad Sadiq Jadoon stated that his son Fahad Sadiq Jadoon, a software engineer by profession, went missing on March 18 af ter leaving his office at G-13/3.
He said the police were neither registering a case nor helping the family to trace the missing person. `The facts and circumstances lead to irresistible conclusion of enforced disappearance,` added the petition.
He requested the court to direct the capital police to recover his son and produce him before the court.
The petitioner made the inspector general, senior superintendent, superintendent (investigation) of the police and the SHO Golra as the respondents.
The police informed the court that an entry regarding the disappearance of the man had been made in the Roznamcha (diary) of the police on March 19. The statements of the missing man`s colleagues have also been also recorded, the police added. -Staff Reporter
