The mass cutting of trees in Lahore with its effects on ecosystem and climate is an eye-opener for those responsible for preserving nature.

Iftheyhave aheartandloveforthis once beautiful city, they should reconsider their priorities, although it is probably already too late. Old trees brutally cut down and saplings planted in their place will take at least 50 years to regain a semblance of past glory.

The city of gardens and exquisite historic buildings will turn into a quagmire of steel and concrete depicting heartlessness of its residents. You are proud of a city that has a past. Where will we find the glorious past of a city that was? Anis Ahmad Lahore
