Nation backs forces in war against terrorism: Jhagra

CHARSADDA: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra has said that the entire nation backs security forces in the war against terrorism to protect motherland from internal and external enemies.
He was speaking as chief guest at the passing out parade of Frontier Constabulary at its training centre in Shabgadar here on Wednesday.
Frontier Constabulary Commandant Liaquat Ali Khan, senior officials and relatives of the recruits were also present on the occasion. On this occasion, 1,975 personnel of Frontier Constabulary passed out after completing their nine-month training.
The governor announced Rs 2 mil-lion for the training of recruits and Rs1million for the welfare of Frontier Constabulary personnel. He also distributed certificates and trophies among the position-holders and best recruits.
Mr Jhagra inspected the parade and congratulated the successful recruits.

Mr Jhagra urged the recruits to ensure protection of the country. He said that peace was restored in the country owing to the sacrifices rendered by security forces.
He said that maintenance of peace was top priority of the government.
He said that role of security forces in the war against terrorism was admirable.
The governor lauded sacrinces rendered by FC personnel and said that their sacrifices would not go waste as they would be remembered with respect. He said that those FC troops, who laid down their lives for protection of motherland, were in fact realheroes.
Mr Jhagra said that he would contact the federal government and other quarters concerned tofurther enhance the capacity of the troops and redress their problems.
Earlier, FC commandant appraised the governor about the training and problems of the force.
Meanwhile, the governor visited Mardan and inaugurated an orphanage there. Pakistan Baitul Mal Managing Director Barrister A bid Waheed Sheikh was also present on the occasion.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony, the governor said that the orphanage was meant to accommodate those children, who lost their fathers and lived in poor conditions.
He said that steps were being taken to provide better accommodation and quality education to the poor and deserving children.
The governor also announced Rs1 million for Pakistan Sweet Home Mardan and assured that the budget for Pakistan Baitul Maal would be reappropriatedin the nextHscalyear.
