HYDERABAD: Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori on Sunday took a swipe at critics of Pakistan army and said they must have seen now how the army had accomplished its job in recent showdown with India.

He said during a visit of the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) where he inquired after the health of injured soldiers that after Pakistan`s astounding performance in the war, value of the country`s passport had increased manifold in the region.

He said while speaking to journalists that the armed forces led by army chief Syed Asim Munir gave a befitting response to Indian night attack in broad daylight.

He offered special tribute to Pakistan Air Force for its swift and effective action and said that after Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos India would never think of attacking Pakistan again.

He said that people who had been criticising Pakistan army for last two years must have seen now how the armed forces had done their job. Indian attack did not happen all of a sudden it was somehow connected with Balochistan, he said.

He said that terrorists must be reeling at the news that their masters had been given a befitting reply. Martyrdom of civilian population and damage to mosques would be avenged at appropriate time as people stood behind their forces, he said.

He thanked US President Donald Trump who brokered the ceasefire and said that army chief had defended the country valiantly and now he hoped he would settle debt of the country as well through SIFC. The day was not far when another thanksgiving day would be observed over clearance of Pakistan`s debt, he said.

Tessori congratulated the nation on the historic success and said: `We hopeIndia will never attempt to impose war again.

He extended gratitude to international community particularly China, Turkiye, Saudi Arabia, Azerbaijan, United States and other countries for their support.

He called Indian premier Narendra Modi `butcher of Gujarat` and accused him of demonstrating Israeli-style mindset. Modi was a fanatic and his aggression was part of a longstanding conspiracy linked with ongoing terrorism in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, he said.

He noted that Pakistan`s armed forces not only thwarted the enemy`s ambitionsbut also stuck to the high moral ground by avoiding civilian casualties in the retaliatory action. Strong defense capabilities and national unity were true guarantees of Pakistan`s stability, he said.

The governor paid rich tribute to courage and resilience of the met injured soldiers and said he, along with representatives of MQM, had come to uplift their morale. `Our troops are imbued with desire for martyrdom and this spirit is what will deter enemy`s aggression,` he said.

He said that one of the injured soldiers was in high spirits despite undergoing two surgeries. The soldiers were visiblysad that that they did not embrace martyrdom, he said.

He disclosed that 52,000 youth, who had cleared their IT skill tests in Hyderabad, would be offered advanced training to help them become selfemployed.

Hyderabad Garrison General Officer Commanding, Maj Gen Yahya Usman Gondal, Base Commander Bholari AVM Imran and Hyderabad Commissioner Bilal Ahmed were also present during the governor`s visit.

The governor was accompanied by MQM district organiser Zafar Siddiqui, MNA Syed Wasim Hussain, MPA Rashid Khan and others.
