KOHAT: The district police officer has suspended a traffic warden for insulting and bundling up a man in an official vehicle after the video went viral on social media.

According to a statement issued here from the DPO office, warden Hasnain Habib could be seen in a video pushing the man from his hair.

DPO Mohammad Suleman suspended the warden who was asked to report to the police lines pending a departmental inquiry.

ASP headquarters Usama Cheema had been appointed as inquiry officer and directed to conduct an impartial investigation into the incident. The DPO said that humiliation of the people by police would not be tolerated.—Correspondent
