AN MPA of Balochistan is involved in killing a police constable in Quetta by hitting him with his rashly driven vehicle.
Had not the incident gone viral on the social media, the culprit, a democratic representative elected by poor people of a far-flung constituency, would have surely gone scot-free.
Later, a document implying forgiveness by the family of the deceased cop was also found fake. Recently investigations into the matter have also revealed that that the SUV involved in the incident was illegal its engine and chassis number were already tampered with and the vehicle was carrying an illegal government numberplate.
The post-incident details are not being followed as the electronic media is overly busy with the Panama case issue. Strange enough, the veteran and apparently fatherly politician Mehmud Khan Achakzai, who never lets go any opportunity to unleash his tirade againstthe army over injustices to his community is conspicuous by his silence.
Most politicians have also remained silent over the issue.
