The sources revealed that the six cousins were also accused in a double murder case involving father of Ismail Bhangwar in 2010.
Police sources said that the two groups of Bhangwar clan had a longstanding dispute over a piece of land and distribution of water which began some 15 years ago. Four persons had so far been killed on both sides prior to this incident and a number of men were in jail in similar cases, they said.
Sources in the village said that over the years, several efforts were made by influential politicians, notables and elders of different clans to make peace between the two sides but they did not agree to bury the hatchet.
