PTI rally demands Imran Khan`s release

SWABI: Pakistan Tehreek-iInsaf (PTI) provincial leaders, parliamentarians and workers led by its provincial president Junaid Akbar warned the government, sooner the better, to withdraw all false cases against the party`s founder, Imran Khan, or face wrath of the people.

The PTI`s show of strength was held here on Friday, in which, apart from local leaders, elected representatives, ministers, advisers and provincial president Junaid Akbar participated.

The PTI workers from all four tehsils of the district, who had gathered at Gohati bus stop, marched on the SwabiMardan road up to Karnal Sher Khan Chowk at the district headquarters, while the traffic remained suspended. The rally culminated at Shahmansoor where the party leaders addressed the protesters.

The leaders and workers were unanimous in their views that the federal government should immediately release the former prime minister, and expressed their resolve to continue protest demonstrations until Imran Khan was set free, saying their leader has been implicated in fake cases.

Addressing the protesters, Imran Khan`s cousin Ahmad Khan Naizi said that they had gathered on one-point agenda togetthefoundingparty chairman released from the jail, which, he said, would bring economic betterment and political stability in the country.

`We will not return home from Lahore on August 5 until Imran Khan was set free,` he said, adding that the entire country was ready for the August 5 gathering, which would be historic from all aspects and the preparations were in s full swing.

The other leaders of PTI said that they were united under the leadership of the founding chairman, and were determined to achieve their objective.
