TOBA TEK SINGH: A youth who had been missing for the last five days was found murdered, allegedly over `honour`, in fields near Abdul Hakim town of Khanewal district.

The police claimed to have arrested the prime suspect and his three accomplices using geofencing technology.

According to Arrouti police, Barkat Ali of Pirmahal tehsil`s Mouza Joosa went missing five days ago. His family kept searching for him but to no avail. They reported the matter to police. On Sunday, Arrouti police recovered his body dumped in the fields near Abdul Hakim.

Police said as per initial investigation, Barkat had developed relations with amarried woman, a resident of Abdul Hakim.

However, the woman`s husband got wind of the affair and when Barkat arrived at his house, he and his three accomplices nabbed him.

The police said the suspects murdered the youth and dumped his body in fields near the town.

BREACH: Crops over acres of farmlands were inundated with water after a breachoccurredin Nasrana distributary of Jhang Branch Canalnear Chak 58-JB Leellan along Aminpur Road in Faisalabad.

Rescue 1122, irrigation department employees and farmers plugged the breach after ef forts of several hours. The irrigation department has launched aprobe toñnd outthereason of the breach.
