KARACHI: Lop-sided matches were played in the boys Under-18 category as Mahateer Mohammad, Taimoor Ansari, Raahim Vegar and Sameer Zaman won their respective matches to advance into the second round of the Shamsi Academy National Juniors Tennis Championships here at the DA Creek Club on Sunday.

Mahateer cruised past Dhuraf Das 6-0, 6-0 while Raahim thumped Mohammad Hamza Essa Jee withthe same score. Taimoor got the better of Gilgit`s Mustanseer Ali 6-2, 5-0 after the latter retired at the end of second set. Samer Zaman also eased past Malik Hasnain 6-0, 6-1 to book a berth in the next round.
