KARACHI: The two factions of Pasban have merged and agreed to work with the new name of Pasban-iPakistan, a political party, vowing to introduce in the country a new culture of politics of service.
Pasban-i-Pakistan leader Altaf Shakoor said at a press conference at the Karachi Press Club on Sunday that the present rulers and politicians had disappointed the nation.
`We`ve entered the mess of politics with an aim to make it free from corruption, bribery and injustice, he said.
`We want to introduce a culture of politics based on service and bring real change in Pakistan.
He said his party had already fielded candidates for the local government polls and believed they would get a `spectacular success.
Mr Shakoor said that in 2004 a group had separated from Pasban over differences and registered Pasban as a political party with the Election CoAmmission of Pakistan.
He pointed out that in 2014 Pasban-i-Pakistan also got registered as a political party and then there did not remain any need for the groups to work separately.
Altaf Shakoor welcomed Hussain Khan and all other associates on the merger of both factions of Pasban and congratulated them for reposing confidence in his leadership.
On the occasion, Hussain Khan said he and his friends were joining Pasban-iPakistan unconditionally.
