Robbers, burglars strike in capital

ISLAMABAD: Cash and valuables were snatched as robbers struck in 24 different areas of the capital.
In the first incident, valuables, including ornaments worth Rs900,000, were looted from a house in Lohi Bher, police said, adding that some burglars broke intothehouseofMohammad Asad when the residents were away and escaped with valuables.
Likewise, cash and laptops worth Rs560,000 were stolen from the office of Togeer Abbasi in F-10.
Similarly, thieves stole industrial material worth Rs400,000 from a factory in Paracha Chowk, the police said, adding that the factory owner was identified as Mohammad Rais.
Moreover, thieves stole cash and valuables worth Rs380,000 from a house in G-13/4 while medicine worth Rs125,000 was stolen from a vehicle in another incident.
Furthermore, cash and mobile phones worth Rs40,000 were snatched from a man, the police said, adding that two armed persons intercepted Chan Abbas when he reached I-10/1 and held him up at gunpoint.
Similarly, mobile phones and devices worth Rs90,000 were snatched from Munib Ahmed near G-11.
Meanwhile, 17 vehicles were also stolen from dif ferent parts of the capital.
A Honda Civic, 2004 model, a Suzuki Swift, 2013 model, a 2009 Mehran and a 1999 Mehran were stolen from Tarlai, G-9/1, E-11/2 and Murree Road, respectively.
Honda 125, 2014 model, a 2013 model, 2017 model, 2021 model, 2019 model, 2014 model, were stolen from F-6/1, Madina Twon, Gulberg Green, I-12, H-8 and F-6/2 respectively.
A Honda 100, Honda 70, 2020 model, 2019 model, 2009 model, 2017 model was lifted from Koral, I-8/4, G-9/2, G-11, G-10/2, respectively.
A Hero 70, 2013 model was stolen from I-9/4, while a Racer, 2016 model was stolen from F-8/4.
