RUSSIA has invited Mahmud Abbas, the president of the Palestinian Authority, to take part in the BRICS summit, President Putin said on Friday.

Putin also reaffirmed Russia`s support for a twostate solution in the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians, saying the issue would be discussed at next week`s summit.-Reuters
