KARACHI: Prof Solaha Rahman of Karachi University Teachers Forum (KUTF) was elected as the president of Karachi University Teachers` Society by securing 302 votes in the society`s 2022-2023 elections. Prof Summer Sultana representing the Teachers` Alliance for Good Governance (Tagg) received 271 votes for the same position.

Syed Ghufran Alam and Dr Syed Faizan-ulHassan Naqvi, both representing the KUTF,were elected as the vice president and the secretary, respectively. Dr Muhammad Ali (Tagg) was elected as treasurer.

Dr Zeeshan Akhter (KUTF) and Dr Asad Khan Tanoli (Tagg) were elected as joint secretary.

Members of the executive council are: Abdul Jabbar Khan, Hina Khan, Humaira Kanwal, Intikhab Ulfat,Haris Shoaib, Muhammad Saad, Maroof Bin Raoof, Muhammad Zubair, Naila Usman Siddiqi, Nida Ali, S.M. Khalid Jamal, Sadaf Fatima, Sadiq Ali Kha, Zeeshan Iqbal, Waqar Ahmed and Tehseen Iqbal.
