KHAR: The elders of Salarzai tribe have vowed to continue their fight against militants till elimination of terrorists in Bajaur Agency.

Addressing a jirga here on Thursday, they condemned the brutal killing of students and their teachers by terrorists in Army Public School, Peshawar.

They expressed solidarity with theaffected families.

The jirga was attended by a large number of tribal elders, leader of various village defence committees and members of Salarzai Qaumi Lashkar. Issues related to law and order in the region, recent attacks by militants on Army Public School in Peshawar and strategy to step up anti-militants activities in theborder areas of the tribal region were discussed in the jirga. The participants of the jirga lauded the sacrifices rendered by the security forces and civilians in the war against terrorism.

They demanded of the Afghan government to hand over leadership of militants, hiding in Afghanistan, to the Pakistangovernment.-Correspondent
