LAHORE: Eighth sitting of the Punjab Assembly’s 42nd session will be held here on Monday (today) after a break of two weeks.
Written queries related to the local government and community development department will be taken up, while a bill on establishment of the University of Toba Tek Singh will be introduced.
Annual reports of nine authorities, commissions and offices will be laid before the house, whereas general discussion on current political situation and price-hike will also be part of the agenda for the day.
The 42nd session had begun on October 24 and it is going on after generally two-week breaks without transacting any worthwhile business.
Many believe that the ruling coalition of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf and Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid wishes to keep the house in session believing legally the governor may not ask the chief minister to take vote of confidence as far as the house is in session.
