MANSEHRA: The Oghi police on Sunday claimed to have arrested 50 suspects during a search and strike operation launched in the wake of the recent terror attacks across the country. `We have taken into custody over 50 suspects from different pans of the tehsil and seized arms and ammunition from them, Shamrez Khan, the Oghi DSP, told media persons at a press conference.

He said a police pany led by SHO Amir Khan conducted a raid in Shungli Bandi area and seized five 7mm rifles, four other rifles of various bores, many pistols and hundreds of bullets. Also in the day, Mansehra police launched a mock exercise to prepare the force to meet any untoward incident.

A contingent of police executed a mock drill at district jail Mansehra.

Jamal Zeb, a police spokesman, told reporters that mock exercises would also be conducted at school and college level in district.-Correspondent
