Passing out parade of cadets held

DERA MURAD JAMALI: The passing out parade of the cadets at Cadet College Jaffarabad was held on Wednesday, marking the completion oftheir education.

BalochistanMinisterforIrrigation Mir Sadiq Umrani was the chief guest at the passing-out ceremony, which was attended by Col Usman of the Sui wing, Lt Col Rizwan Tayyab of the 114 wing, Nasirabad Range DIG Ayaz Ahmed Baloch, Jaffarabad Deputy Commissioner Azhar Shahzad, PPP leaders Mir Bilal Umrani and Attaullah Buledi, senior officials and the cadets` parents.

Cadet Rashid led the march past.In his speech, Mr Umrani praised Cadet College Jaffarabad as one of the best educational institutions, emphasising that the cadets graduating from this esteemed college will play a vital role in the development of Balochistan and the fight against terrorism, which has hindered the region`s progress.

`Pakistan needs cadets who will contribute to the country`s overall development and strengthen its defence,` he said. He also highlighted the responsibility of parents to guide the younger generation towards education.

The minister announced a grant of Rs30 million for the construction of a boundary wall around the college to protect it from future floods.
