Girl recovered six months after abduction

SAHIWAL: On Lahore High Court orders, Dera Rahim police recovered a kidnapped minor girl after six months from village 100/9-L.
The eldest of the four abducted siblings reported she was gangraped by two kidnappers throughout her captivity.
Reports said that on Aug 20, 2024, six armed men had kidnapped four siblings three minor girls and a boy.
According to the police report, three of the children managed to escape the kidnappers` custody, but one girl remained captive.
When Dera Rahim police failed to take action for the recovery of the fourth child, the family moved the Lahore High Court.
Following court orders,the police raided a location and recovered the girl, who revealed that she had been repeatedly gangraped by two suspects.
A case was registered under sections 365 and 375 of the Pakistan Penal Code against six people, and police arrested three suspects. Further investigations are underway.
ACCIDENT: A man and a woman died, while another woman was critically injured in a road accident near Yousafwala on the National Highway on Wednesday.
Reports said that a woman`s shawl got caught in a motorcycle wheel, causing all three riders to fall. A truck coming from behind ran them over.
The deceased were identified as Fatima and Sabir, residents of village 53/5-L.
The injured woman, Zareena, was shifted to Sahiwal Teaching Hospital in critical condition.
