KARACHI:SindhGovernorKamranTessori has inaugurated the district Central chapter of the Arts Council of Pakistan, Karachi.

The branch was open at the Jinnah Cultural Complex in New Karachi. ACP President Ahmad Shah and members of the governing body were also present.

Governor Tessori said that famous literati and intellectuals lived in North Karachi. He said the economy and society of Pakistan wasdeclining and there was an imbalance in the society, adding that if the country wanted to move forward, the differences must be kept aside.

The ACP president said that the population of district Central was more than many countries. He said this was the place of intellectuals and he had come to serve them.

He said food stalls would be set up and fairs for children would also be organised.

He announced that qawwali would be organised in Ramazan and a great family festival on Eid.
