TAXILA:A man injured his sister over a domestic dispute in the limits of Hassanabdal police station on Sunday.

Samina Sultan reported to police that she was living with her brother, Hameed Akhtar, after her divorce from her husband. On Sunday, Hameed exchanged harsh words with his sister over a domestic issue and out of rage, attacked her with a knife and severely injured her.

When she raised alarm, otherfamilymemberscame to her rescue and shifted her to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital. Police have registered a case against the suspect and launched a hunt to arrest him.

Meanwhile, two persons were kidnapped in Wah on Sunday.

Danish Ali reported to police that his 25-year-old sister had gone to a local educational institute from where she was abducted.

Separately, a property dealer was kidnapped by an unknown person within the same police station limits. Usman told police that his brother Huzaifa, who worked as a property dealer, was kidnapped from outside his office by unknown person(s).

In another incident, Taxila police arrested a proclaimed offender (PO) wanted in attempted murdercase onSunday.

According to the police spokesman, the suspect identified as Waqas had allegedly shot and injured Masood over some dispute last year and went underground. Later, the police declared him a proclaimed offender (PO).

Acting on a tip-off, the police raided his hideout and arrested him.
