NAROWAL: The families of two martyrs left a Jashan-i-Baharan festival performance on Saturday night at Faiz Ahmed Faiz Park in protest over the singing of Indian songs.
The event was a part of a three-day festival that the district government organised to celebrate the fall of the spring. There were lots of people there, and as a vocalist sang Bollywood songs, two families departed the location.

She stated that she took her family to the musical night for enjoyment but was upset to hear Indian melodies being used to celebrate the night.
Deputy Commissioner Muhammad downplayed the event, saying that the fact that vocalists sang Indian songs atthe performance was not a major concern. He said that Indian movies are watched in our homes, so why can`t Indian songs be sung on a musical night? Citizens and the families of martyrs strongly protested against the inappropriate behavior of the district administration.
