TOBA TEK SINGH: A 20-year-old girl who had recently returned from Italy for her wedding shopping was allegedly kidnapped by unidentified suspects in a car in Gojra.

According to Gojra City police, Izza Arshad, the granddaughter of Muhammad Arshad of Sharifpura locality of Gojra, went to the bazaarfor shopping on Sunday from where unidentified car riders abducted her.

She was carrying 5,000 euros (Rs1.5m) when she was abducted.

OPENING: PML-N MNA Khalid Javed Warraich laid the foundation stone for the construction of a railway underpass near Siraj Town on the Toba Road in Gojra.

He said the construction of the underpass would be completed at a cost of Rs1.3bn.
