Traders plan protest against reauction of shops

SARGODHA: The affected traders have rejected the district administration`s decision to evict them from government-owned shops in Sargodha and reauction the properties.

They announced plans to stage strong protests against the administration and raise their voices at all levels to protect their rights.

In response, a joint meeting has been called to devise a strategy and finalise a plan of action.

According to sources, the district administration has decided to evict tenants from government shops located in three commercial plazas and rest areasalong the highways in Sargodha. This move has sparked serious concern among the traders, who, during a recent meeting, expressed unanimous opposition to the re-auctioning decision. The traders vowed to resist the move and are mobilising for a collective response.ACCIDENT: A car driver died and his co-driver suffered injuries in a collision between a speeding car and a tractortrolley laden with wheat chaff on the Sargodha-Lahore Road.

Reports said a speeding car coming from Phoolnagar to Sargodha via Lahore collided with a tractor-trolley loaded with wheat husk near Chak Dakshini Mor in Sargodha. As a result, car driver, 35-year-old Shoaib Masih of Chak 112 RB, Nankana Sahib, died on the spot and the co-driver, 25-year-old Ali Shah of Chak 117, Piplan, Mianwali, was seriously injured. He was shifted to THQ Hospital Bhagtanwala. Correspondent
