MOHMAND: One person was killed and six others were injured when rival groups exchanged fire over a water pipe dispute in Babi Kor area of Khewazai tehsil the other day, the police said on Saturday.

They identified the deceased as Sajid Khan.

A Rescue 1122 official said a medical team provided first aid to the injured on the spot and then shifted them to the District Headquarters Hospital, Ghalanai. Later, they were referred to Lady Reading Hospital, Peshawar, for further treatment.

The police arrested two suspects, and launched an investigation into the incident.
